Writing
At Elmbridge Primary, writing is important because it allows the children to communicate, entertain and inform, taking the thoughts inside their heads and sharing them with others. Writing is also an act of creation and can provide children with a safe space to develop their imaginations, and to be playful with language.
At Elmbridge we want to help children to be experienced and knowledgeable about the technical elements of writing, and to understand the multitude of purposes for which it can be used so that they have the skills necessary to change the world one day!
