Year 2 have been working together to make ferris wheels, as part of their mechanisms DT unit during the summer term. They worked collaboratively, to build the ferris wheel, to include the design criteria: pods, a base, a moving part (wheel and axle) and a frame.
During their structures unit, Year 2 learned about what makes a strong and stable structure. The children explored making paper cylinder tubes, to build a strong and stable 3D chair structure, to seat Baby Bear, based on the story, 'Goldilocks and the 3 Bears'.
